Portland Easter Weekend Getaway!

So, somehow with both of our crazy and opposite schedules we managed to get 4 days off together for the Easter weekend! How fabulous!? We could not just stay home, despite the cold, rainy, windy weather, so we decided to be brave and head for Portland, Oregon. Ricardo had never been there before and I only once as a child with my family. The drive was a bit treacherous with the wind and crazy rain, but we made it one piece thanks to R's ability to drive well and keep me calm! Here are a few pictures from the short but very sweet and fun holiday!

Us on the harbour enjoying the city but freezing a tad!

So one of my favorite place in Portland was Powell Books. It was an amazingly big new and used bookstore that was organized by color coded floors! Wow! It was like heaven to me!

Here I am with a few purchases!

So we took some time to explore the city but we did not get out as much as we would of liked because of the cold, wet and windy weather. We did get out and about in downtown though in the Pearl and City districts because of the awesome FREE street car!

Here is Ricardo in front of beautiful, cozy cafe/house where we warmed ourselves.

Here is me in front of some graffiti trying to look hard core...lol!

So, despite the weather we had an amazing time together exploring parts of the city and bonding in the cozy hotel. I really fell in love with Portland for its cozy coffee shops, excellent, tax free shopping, nice scenery, old buildings and friendly people! We will be for sure planning on taking another trip back there in the summer!

Here is one last picture of us being cute and snuggling as always! :)
